Health and Safety

Bloomily helps you stay informed about your child's health, medications, meals, and any incidents that occur at the center.


Medications


Go to Health > Medications to manage medication information.


Current Authorizations


View all active medication authorizations for your child, including:


  • Medication name
  • Dosage and form (tablet, liquid, cream, etc.)
  • Type (prescription, over-the-counter, supplement)
  • Frequency (once daily, as needed, etc.)
  • Start and end dates
  • Special instructions


Administration History


The History tab shows when medications were given, including the date, time, who administered it, and any notes. If your child needs a new medication authorized, contact your center. They'll set up the authorization in the system.


Incident Reports


If an incident occurs (injury, allergic reaction, behavioral concern), you'll be notified and can view the full report under Health > Incidents. Each incident report includes:


  • What happened — Type of incident and description
  • When and where — Date, time, and location at the center
  • Severity — Emergency, High, Medium, or Low
  • First aid provided — What treatment was given
  • Staff involved — Who reported it and who provided care
  • Photos — If applicable


You may be asked to acknowledge the incident report. Scroll to the bottom of the report to sign and add any notes or questions.


Meals and Menus


Go to Health > Meals to view:


  • Daily menus — See what's being served for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner
  • Dietary information — Each meal shows flags for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, or nut-free options
  • Allergen warnings — Meals that contain your child's known allergens are flagged automatically


Meal Ordering


If your center offers meal ordering, you can:


  1. View available meal options for each day
  2. Select your child's meal preference
  3. See allergen match warnings based on your child's profile
  4. Confirm the order


Meals may be unavailable on certain days (holidays, field trips). The system will show the reason.


Assessments


View your child's developmental assessments under Learning > Assessments:


  • Assessment reports by period (fall, winter, spring)
  • Skill progress across developmental domains
  • Teacher observations and notes
  • Download reports as PDF


Weekly Lesson Plans


See what your child's classroom is learning under Learning > Lesson Plans:


  • Weekly themes and activities
  • Activities organized by day and time block (Morning Circle, Art, STEM, etc.)
  • Learning domains covered (literacy, math, science, social-emotional, etc.)


Frequently Asked Questions


Q: How do I update my child's allergy information?

Go to Account > Forms and update the health form. You can also contact your center to make changes.


Q: I wasn't notified about an incident. Why?

Check your notification settings under Account > Settings. If notifications are enabled, contact your center. Some minor incidents may not trigger a notification depending on center policy.


Q: Can I request a specific meal for my child?

If your center offers meal ordering, use the Meals page to select options. For dietary accommodations beyond what's listed, contact your center directly.
